25 july 2013 - Vilnius, Zuikių gatvė - perhaps the most isolated location in Vilnius. Route #9 is the shortest and dumbest route in Vilnius - 8 trips each working day (4 in the morning, 4 in the afternoon), 4 stops, 10 min. journey. Opened with intention to stop people (mostly children going to school) from crossing railroad (see map - Voverių g. to the north direction) because they had to risk their lives by crossing rails above or to go through narrow pipe under rail. Lithuanian railroad company was given task to solve this problem and they did! They simply closed passage through pipe. Vilnius municipality was forced to make new bus route which is almost useless for residents of Zuikių g. but people living at the end of Juodšilių g. got use of it. Unfortunately, they were not the only ones who liked this route - several asocial people were riding in the bus very often for whole 4 afternoon trips, drinking alcohol, disturbing driver and passengers and even smoking! Fortunately, not all drivers were that scared to call police or to expel such "passengers". At the moment this route is pretty safe (as well as scenic) - it is run by private company and it`s drivers won`t let any passenger to mess with them.

3 february 2014 - Vilnius, Lazdynai (st. Lazdynai). From 2014-01-01 route 68 to Grigiškės via Lentvaris now starts in Lazdynai district. It was planned to change route on 2013-09-01 so a lot of children from Lentvaris could easily reach their schools in Vilnius but Trakai region municipality refused to sign new schedules in favor of their route 269, so 68 until now was running to Žemieji Paneriai. 269 is suburban route, ran by former minibuses of 38 and 99 routes, which, at first few months didn`t offer any price exemptions for students and elder people.

1 january 2014 - Vilnius, L. Giros gatvė, time - 2:50 AM. During New Year there were 5 night routes which were run only by articulated buses. 747 was one of 4 buses on route 104 from Fabijoniškės to Naujininkai and was late for 15 minutes. It seems that flow of passengers was very unstable because another Volvo on 104 sticked to schedule very well.

7 november 2013 - Vilnius, Savanorių prospektas. From 2013-11-07 "Ridvija" started operating in Vilnius city bus routes 9, 20 and 28 with minibuses. It appeared that during certain daytime moments, minibuses were overcrowded, so on 11-12 2 more vehicles were added from VVT bus depot: 1 rush hour to route 28 and 1 running all day to route 20. Schedules were loosened because standard bus (which appears on route 20) cannot be quick enough to fit into schedule, designed for minibus. Now route 20 now runs with 2-4 times and route 28 with up to 4 times higher frequency.

11 november 2013 - Vilnius, S. Stanevičiaus gatvė. From 2013-11-11 "Meteorit Turas" from Visaginas started operating route 40, replacing VVT bus depot. The only change to ordinary passengers was that there are different buses and trips to depot were removed from schedule. Also, routes 9, 20 and 28 were taken over by "Ridvija" from Šiauliai and are operated only by minibuses.

This year all 5 buses, which were servicing Kairėnai cemetery (2 on 38A, 3 on 38) were MAN Lion`s city while there were 3 high-floor Karosa B741/B841 on more important and crowded routes 37 and 63.

1 july 2013 - Vilnius, Stotis. New route 1G operates from 2013-07-01 and is part of 6 route shuttle bus network. This route replaced 5th trolleybus and 26th bus. Bus stops only on selected stops but schedule is so tight that all but 6G were late at least 10 minutes during rush hours. 2G is the most extreme of all - delays during daytime are approximately 10 minutes, during evening rush hour - at least 20 min. All but 6G routes run at 6-10 min intervals while 6G - 7-15 min. During weekend intervals vary from 8 to 15 minutes. All routes for 2 weeks will be serviced only by Volvo 7700, 7700A (only during rush hours on 2G, 4G, 5G and 6G), MAN Lion`s City NL273 CNG and Mercedes-Benz Citaro.
