1 october 2006 - Praha (CZ) – zajezdnia/vozovna/depot Kobylisy. More Praha works trams today. This T3 hasn’t been pictured before – it has been converted to a special car for overhead wire inspection, with a little compartment ‘upstairs’ for an operator to sit and watch the alignment of the pantograph as it travels along.

1 october 2006 - Praha (CZ) – zajezdnia/vozovna/depot Kobylisy. A rear view of 5521 shows that it has lost most of its doors, so now looks more like a T3SU, although I don’t think it ever was. The equipment compartments hold recording machines to chart the movement of the pantograph. From this angle, you can see the operator’s tower on top.

1 october 2006 - Praha (CZ) – zajezdnia/vozovna/depot Kobylisy. This is the view from inside 5521. The technician sits here as the tram travels around the network, checking that all is well. Note the special pantograph, which is connected to the recording equipment inside the tram.
